The Story Behind Natural Kind

Natural Kind began with a simple question: could we create an all-over body oil that was truly designed for the whole person?

We wanted a product that could nourish from head to toe—one that felt beautiful on the skin, gentle enough for sensitive areas like the face, and simple enough for everyone in the family to enjoy. We found that many all-over oils were either heavily fragranced, relying on high concentrations of essential oils that could feel overwhelming on the skin and to the senses, or formulated with heavier carrier oils that didn’t always feel comfortable for everyday, all-over use.

So we began experimenting.

Through thoughtful formulation and a focus on simplicity, we created a lightweight, nourishing oil made with carefully selected organic ingredients that absorbs beautifully and supports all skin types. A product that can live on your bathroom counter, travel with you, and become part of the daily rituals you share with the people you love (even our founders' seven-year-old daughter reaches for it).

Along the way, we realized Natural Kind was about more than skincare.

Natural Kind was born from a desire to create something gentler—a return to simplicity in a world that often asks us to do more, achieve more, and constantly optimize.

After years spent in high-pressure environments, we began noticing how much meaning existed in the quieter moments: time spent outdoors, nourishing rituals, meaningful connection, and the simple act of caring for ourselves with intention. Those moments became the inspiration behind Natural Kind.

Our products are created with the belief that skincare can be both beautiful and grounding. We use thoughtfully selected organic ingredients to create multi-purpose essentials that nourish the skin while encouraging a slower, more intentional approach to daily care.

Natural Kind is not about a complicated routine or chasing perfection. It’s about returning to what feels good, using fewer things with greater presence, and creating small moments of care that become part of the way we live.
